The Listeners' Corner

Welcome to the Listeners’ Corner. This is a weekly Wednesday morning Bible study from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Eastern time, which began September 28, 2022 on the Erindale United Church Zoom link. This is the same link which is used to transmit our Sunday service and our 10:00 a.m. Friday morning coffee club. The link is listed in every electronic copy of our newsletter. On March 6 our church’s Zoom Internet Bible study group finished its reading of the Book of Acts. This was a rewarding insight into the beginnings of the Christian Church. We had much discussion and felt it was quite worthwhile. For the next month during the end of Lent and the beginning of the Easter season, we will follow a different course:

March 13: chapters 23 and 24 of Luke, the post-crucifixion story

March 20: the post-crucifixion story according to John

March 27: the post-crucifixion story of Matthew

April 3: the post-crucifixion story of Mark

On Wednesday, April 10, we will begin a study of Genesis chapter by chapter. This is an old book and it will show us the way ancient peoples describe the origins of life, the relationship between God and his creation and the course of development following the first man. The stories will be studied in the context of our modern view of the universe. All are welcome. We meet at 10:00 every Wednesday morning on the church’s Zoom channel.
